
Steven is PolicyWorks President and Executive Director. He has been with PolicyWorks as staff and Liaison to the board since its founding. As a senior member of the PolicyWorks projects team with the Kessler C2C projects in California and Florida, the CareerACCESS policy initiative, Lights! Camera! Access!; and as a project administrator on the WINTAC team serving as a state liaison and the Peer Mentoring Workforce Innovation Pilot Project (WIPP) Coordinator, Steven has been involved in all projects and operations since PolicyWorks was founded in 2012.
Steven is a member of the Lights Camera Access’ organizing team and is instrumental in the design and production of these events including LCA’s ‘How to Leverage Your Disability and Sharpen Your Competitive Advantage’ workshop.
Steven holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design; is a veteran with a disability; and volunteers in his community serving as President of the Crooked River Lighthouse; and as an Actor/Director in a regional community theater group. His passion for disability and employment advocacy stems from experience of one of five children of parents with disability and his experiences as a service-connected disabled veteran. He champions peer and career mentoring among person-centered approaches to increase career path employment for individuals with disabilities.
Steve credits his own professional development in the disability advocacy community to the many great mentors who have modeled collaboration, innovation and passion.
